Visitors in Sendai are welcomed by actors disguised as feudal lord Date Masamune and his vassals.
Date squad composed of Date Masamune, his vassals Date Shigezane, Katakura Kojurou Kagetsuna, Katakura Kojurou Shigenaga and Hasekura Tsunenaga who sailed across the Atlantic and visited Europe for the first time as Japanese.
Their mission is reviving Date’s soul to the present by introducing the aesthetics, faith and history of Date that have been lasting since they founded Sendai 400 years ago.
