Sendai City War Reconstruction Memorial Hall

During the Pacific War, July 19th, 1945, Sendai City was attacked in a air raid and burned down to ashes. The memorial hall keeps record of the Sendai air raid and the reconstruction of the city. To remember and to tell the future generation not to repeat the tragedy, this memorial hall opened in 1981. There are records of the post-war reconstruction and high economic growth period in the exhibition room, concert hall and a conference room.
